POLA began in 1929 when its founder, Shinobu Suzuki, made a cream by hand in a mortar and pestle out of concern for his wife, who suffered from rough hands due to housework. This sentiment of "for that one special person" is still carried on today in the form of "POLA The Hand Cream" and remains the origin of the brand.
Our hand cream, embodying our founding philosophy, has been renewed. Utilizing manufacturing equipment from our "Technical Development Center," which began operations in January 2024, we've created an even finer-textured* cream.
