By using mushrooms cultivated in Nagano's rich natural environment, we have preserved the true, inherent power of these ingredients. We have also designed the blend balance based on the principles of herbal medicine to ensure that the unique characteristics of each ingredient are fully utilized.

Mushrooms used as herbal ingredients belong to the fungi kingdom—a biological group distinct from plants and animals.

The primary ingredient is Reishi spores from Nagano Prefecture—highly prized for their rarity—included at a concentration of 1,000 mg per sachet. We also incorporate other mushrooms revered since ancient times—such as Meshimakobu, Agaricus, and Cordyceps—blending them in a unique ratio designed to maximize the specific benefits of each.
**About the Ingredients and Their Functions**
**Reishi Spores**
Reishi spores contain a wider variety and higher concentration of beneficial compounds than the Reishi fruiting body or mycelium; they are often described as the "concentrated essence" of Reishi. We harvest these precious spores from Reishi mushrooms carefully cultivated and managed without pesticides by farmers in Nagano Prefecture.
The harvest period is limited to just about 15 days a year, and the yield is extremely low—only 1,000 mg of spores can be collected from 1 kg of Reishi—making this an exceptionally rare raw material.
Because Reishi spores are encased in a thick shell (cell wall), they are difficult for the body to absorb in their raw state. This product utilizes a specialized "low-temperature airflow physical pulverization method" to precisely crush the cell walls of Reishi spores. This process preserves beneficial active ingredients by avoiding heat exposure, resulting in a form that is easily utilized by the body.
Meshimakobu (Sang-Hwang)
Contains at least 5% β-glucan; uses Japanese-grown mycelium.
Its name derives from the fact that it grows as a burl-like fungus on mulberry trees native to Meshima Island in the Danjo Islands of Nagasaki Prefecture. Known as a "phantom mushroom" due to the difficulty of both wild harvesting and cultivation, research into this fungus originated in Japan and has since expanded globally.
Meshimakobu mycelium is a powdered material derived from the cultivated base (mycelium) of the fungus; this mycelium is rich in polyphenols and β-glucans.
Agaricus (Himematsutake)
Contains at least 25% β-glucan; uses Japanese-grown mycelium.
A mushroom belonging to the genus *Agaricus* (family Agaricaceae), it is rich in various nutrients, including polysaccharides (β-glucans), proteins, vitamins, minerals, and RNA.
Of particular note is its exceptionally high content of mushroom-specific β-glucans. "Agaricus mycelium" is a material produced by cultivating and extracting components found in the mushroom's vegetative structure.
Cordyceps (Tochu-kasou)
Contains at least 1% cordycepin; uses Japanese-grown fruiting body extract.
Cordyceps has long been known as a tonic for vitality and health. For this product, we carefully select raw materials containing cordycepin—a highly valued active ingredient—derived from Cordyceps fruiting bodies.
Cordycepin is a compound that can be extracted exclusively from Cordyceps. The fruiting bodies also contain a variety of other nutrients, such as D-mannitol, adenosine, chitin, and chitosan. "Honzou Reishi Spore" products are developed based on the 12 factors of aging defined by the "Hallmarks of Aging"—the global standard in aging research.
