Drawing on over 70 years of research into breast milk, the Megmilk Snow Brand Group focused on PS (phosphatidylserine)—a type of phospholipid found in breast milk—and developed "W no Hirameki" (Double Insight) with the aim of supporting cognitive function.
This product features a dual formulation of soy-derived PS (known to help maintain memory, specifically the ability to recall words) and ginkgo biloba leaf components*1 (known to improve the accuracy of judgment).
We have encapsulated these ingredients—which can be difficult to consume consistently through a normal diet—into easy-to-swallow soft capsules.
*1 Ginkgo biloba leaf-derived flavonoid glycosides and terpene lactones.
Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Components
Reported to improve the accuracy of judgment.
Ginkgo biloba leaf components (flavonoid glycosides and terpene lactones) have been reported to improve the accuracy of judgment and the precision of memory—specifically the ability to remember and recall information seen or heard in daily life—in healthy middle-aged and older adults whose cognitive function has declined due to aging.
PS (Soy-derived Phosphatidylserine)
Reported to help maintain memory (the ability to recall words).
PS (soy-derived phosphatidylserine) has been reported to help maintain memory—specifically the ability to recall words—as part of cognitive function in men and women (average age: approx. 60) who are aware of a decline in their memory.
*1 Ginkgo biloba leaf components (flavonoid glycosides / terpene lactones) and PS (soy-derived phosphatidylserine).
Since launching its infant formula in 1951, the Megmilk Snow Brand Group has spent over half a century researching breast milk and nutrition; notably, in 1991, the group announced the discovery that colostrum (early breast milk) is rich in phospholipids crucial for brain and nerve development. An infant's brain grows to approximately 70% of its adult size within the first year of life. Conversely, as we age, brain weight decreases and memory function declines. Driven by a desire to apply the insights gained from our research on breast milk—originally conducted to support infant brain and neurological development—to the needs of adults, we focused on a specific ingredient: PS (phosphatidylserine), a type of phospholipid.
We believe that by commercializing a product combining PS (soy-derived phosphatidylserine) with ginkgo biloba components (flavonoid glycosides and terpene lactones derived from ginkgo leaves), we can support healthy middle-aged and older adults who are concerned about declining memory.
