TAISHI™ Complex
Taishi（胎脂）is the Japanese word for vernix caseosa, the naturally disappearing substance that protects the underdeveloped stratum corneum of a baby from environmental changes and dryness.
TAISHI™ Complex was developed with ingredients that mimic those of vernix. It is composed of lipids with water retention properties to protect the skin from dryness, while blending in seamlessly.
Vernix : The origin of skin care
Vernix is the creamy, oily substance that covers the skin of a baby in the womb. It prevents the skin from over-softening in the amniotic fluid of the womb, and protects against dryness in the air after birth. It is a protective coating we’re all born with that shields a baby’s immature skin from sudden environmental changes.

The overnight mask method
The overnight mask method creates a lasting moisture shield that you can feel until morning.
At the last step of your night skincare routine, use the supplied spatula to take an appropriate amount (approx. 0.5g, 1cm in diameter) onto your hand and apply it in a thick layer over your entire face. Make sure to work it in carefully.
For areas of concern, apply an appropriate amount in layers as needed.

Some of the fragrance ingredients are derived from upcycled materials, which are byproducts effectively reused from the production processes of other raw materials.
