New finding: research using the KOSÉ France Laboratory, Lyon annex, observed that melanocytes can be activated even in non-spot skin around an existing spot, with expression of factors that take up melanin.
Naturally derived kojic acid keeps the source of spots from darkening*
Kojic acid is a low-molecular-weight, naturally derived brightening active ingredient. It acts directly on melanocytes—the source of dark spots—and suppresses the darkening of melanin. It addresses the causes of spots of every kind, including larger spots, freckles, and melanin around pores, and helps keep latent spots from forming.
It focuses on the fact that activation of melanocytes around a concern can lead to spots that spread. By not allowing melanin to form—the cause of both spreading spots and deeply colored spots—kojic acid helps prevent spots that would otherwise keep increasing.
*Brightening means suppressing melanin production to help prevent dark spots and freckles. Kojic acid suppresses melanin production and helps prevent it from darkening.
Clear tone and instant luminosity
Newly added chinpi (citrus peel) extract and other dullness-care ingredients help maintain a clear, lucid impression. Dullness here means dullness due to dryness. The serum moisturizes at once and guides skin toward an even, bright look without cloudiness.
Newly added luminosity ingredients give a glow from the moment of application, for a luminous finish that builds with use.
Fast absorption
Double micro-emulsification and two penetration-enhancing ingredients support instant absorption. A highly moisturizing base is emulsified twice, with penetration enhancers in both the oil and water phases. Even skin hardened by sun exposure or dryness is softened at once, so the beauty ingredients are delivered reliably. Penetration is to the stratum corneum.
Texture and scent
A fresh, non-sticky feel that can be used year-round. Immediately after application, skin feels moist and softly supple, with a more even texture and a luminous glow. The fragrance is a calming green floral.

How to use
Use morning and night after preparing the skin with lotion. Press the pump, take a small amount in the palm, and blend carefully over the face. When the contents run low, remove the pump and dispense directly into the palm.
